After the last couple of days of constant rain and localised flooding, we've another day of rain and flooding ahead of us.

I've been reading The Diary of Thomas Turner (1754-1765). On Monday 16th January 1764 he wrote "I think to the best of my memory I never remember so wet a time as the present, there having been hardly 48 hours of fine weather for this 2 or 3 months past, it raining almost continually."

Small wonder we British love to discuss the weather, including me.

Was that not an engine spray for use with petrol engines in damp conditions, Gordon? Spray over the distributor cap and the plug leads, IIRC

Management spent hours putting bedding plants in..
I've been pruning Jasmine and Bougainvilleas in the heat.
Day off tomorrow ?
Now that's something to look forward to.

My motorhome memories are mainly on cassette, which makes them not of great quality ... Don't have a Telly in the bathroom, so it's fortunate that I can view them without a screen; just slide back the seal, and there they are ...
