Overnight rain has given way to daytime showers with a forecast of cloudy rain followed by rainy cloud to continue the pattern of the last week or so. Need to check whether the expression is 'sodden wet'or 'sodding wet'
The wind has changed direction and is now coming from the north. The temperature has dropped to about 8 degrees, and we will have heavy rain for much of the day.
It's not unusual, and about the same time last year we had significant flooding, with affected busses being put on long diversions.

There again, yesterday's forecast was for dry and cloudy weather, but nobody told the weather, which decided to throw in hailstorms and showers throughout the afternoon ... It's not a forecast, more a message that gives one hope, until the reality appears on the scene
Just returned from cycle tour around village lanes and tracks, while passing the chemist their day, time, date and, temperature sign was showing 23c. Gauge inside MH reads 20.2c can’t complain!
