Weather Report..................

A dry day ahead, with high cloud and a weak sun. The lightest breeze has swung round from the east bringing a 12 degree high. 🌥️⛅⛅

Calm and 13 degrees with hazy sunshine. Looks set for a dry day. Hard to imagine that tomorrow will be stormy.
We are debating wether to cancel going to Hereford due to weather. We’re really eager to take the opportunity to meet lots of old friends but feel that the ground may be soggy there with our van performing very badly on soft ground. I still find getting in an out quite tricky and my mobility scooter too sticks on wet grass. We’ll see how the storm pans out. ☀️☀️☀️

Late last night we were forcast rain. All change this morning - We've another beautiful day with bright sunshine, a moderate easterly breeze, and 13 degrees at the moment. ☀️☀️☀️

Just got notification from my home storage battery telling me that “storm watch” has been automatically activated (first time we have ever had this since the battery and back up system was installed). This means the battery will remain fully charged in case of power cut, and until the storm watch ends or a power cut occurs we will be using grid power to run the house which I hate as it costs money! So the quandary is do I cancel the storm watch and use battery power now in the hope that we don’t get an outage or leave as is?

It’s looking pretty bad up that way Tony. Think that it may well be worth having the back up ready.

Yes Bill. I‘ve decided that for the sake of a few quid it’ll be worth having backup. It’s just that since the system was installed nearly a year back we’ve never used any peak rate energy and I just hate to see that smart meter movng into the orange! Hope everything is ok with you both down there.

I agree with Bill, Tony. Save the stored energy just in case. Look on the positive side though, think of all the fallen trees you can recycle using your stealth chainsaw when the storm subsides 👍
