Yep, it's blue, blue and yet more blue as the eye is cast around the sky here in Cornwall.
In fact there's plenty of blue looking horizontally:

It's also warm and we have the slightest of breezes.
Over the next couple of days it's forecast to be about 22°C maximum here on the peninsular and about 34°C maximum back in Hertfordshire.
I'm confident that I can cope with either so I'm a very happy bunny.

Colin ???

Anticlimactic day.. Busy shopping and preparing for The Undermanager's departure .

I heard some very distant thunder about 2300 last evening.
And that was as exciting as it got!

Today it's about 21°C, grey and still in Cornwall.
So we're taking the 5-Year-Old Birthday Girl to the beach. I can't wait.

Colin ???

You missed an impressive show Colin! I knew it was coming when a strong breeze started wafting the bedroom curtains around when there hadn't been a breath of air before... plus I had a blinding headache, despite having drunk gallons of water through the day! Must have been around midnight but I grabbed some paracetamol and went outside to watch the fireworks for about an hour... until the heavens opened. Spectacular! Today everything looks the picture of serene innocence :giggle:

We were rudely awakened at 2 am by the loudest thunderstorm I've ever heard and lashing it down quickly shut the window that was left open to allow some air as it was so warm. Went to work was misty but turned into another sunny day in Chorley
