Weather Report..................

It feels very mild in Herts this morning at 17°C with a thin mist across the fields and in the shallow valleys.
It's grey overhead and looks likely to stay that way.

Following previous BBC forecasts that today would be grand, I was disappointed to wake up to mist and rain.

However, the good news is that the rain stopped early, the mist burned off before 11.00am and the temperature has risen to 18°. Its still grey, but that'll do.

What's not to like about great tits....

It's grey, 15°C and still in Herts at the moment.
Today's outlook is for more of the same, though it 's likely to warm to something like 20°C later.
So more packing, sorting, planning and chasing is ahead of me today.
Much the same as the last several years, or so it feels.

I'm almost too embarrassed to publicise it Bill, but there's unbroken blue above Hertfordshire this morning. Once you've moved out of the Clyde valley and further south I'm confident that your posts will dry out - but I hope not up.
It's autumn, so the temperature is 12°C in Herts, but it really is one of those mornings when it feels good to be up and about.
There's a wash load out drying in the sunshine; will that be the last until next spring?

More of the same - old same, here..
Gentle breezes . The odd cloud, to stop the sky looking boring.
Pomegranates, oranges and olives are maturing well..
No panic about harvesting, yet.
