Morning all from cold,grey Altrincham.

Really? Its not been so bad over at Buxton, it is overcast now but still 20 degrees and rather nice (for me anyway). We are only about 24 miles or so away but probably a thousand feet higher so would have thought it was warmer your way

Warmed up mid afternoon, as the sun broke through. I put my shorts on. The wind changed and it looks like a storm could be brewing. A little light rain arrived, 10 minutes ago. I'm unable to write in paragraphs, because they go down key acts as a send button... Every disappears.. Very frustrating.

It's rapidly changing from greyish-white to blue here near Alençon and the air is warming in step.
So I'll hang around for La Tour to pass by.
They'll appreciate me encouraging them up the hill.

It's a hot end to the day as we potter into Angers.
The French are stocking up for Bastille Day (tomorrow) by the looks of Auchan hypermarket! We're about to go in and join the mêlée.

I've just got out, Barrie.
It was hell in there - but at least I managed to get a couple of vine ripened tomatoes and a tetrapac of UHT semi skimmed milk.
