What did you do to your van today?

Thought I would change the front cross member little bit of rust on it it can be done without removing the bumper Not my luck nut turning in the chassis bumper got to come off have to cut a hole in the side chassis but not today raining cats a dogs My jobs do drag on MOT on the 27th plenty of time :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Finally got around to making up a polarity changing adapter lead to deal with sites with reversed polarity, so that those who actually know about electrics on here (you know who you are!) can't say to what remains of me "told you so".
We're off to France and possibly Spain on 28th, beginning to panic now. We can take the hit on the price of diesel, just as long as we can get it

Fuel filter change pita on an A class, was going to change the oil and filter but on checking i did that in December before heading north for the bells. Removed the fixed table and will now use a pop-up when needed.20260417_152943.jpg20260417_152820.jpg4

Our PVC has lots of space under the bench seat/bed. The middle is accessible from a drop down flap and one end from the rear doors, but the other end is a black hole where everything hides.
So today we took an end door off and replaced it with a small cargo net.
Then cut an opening in the bench upright panel (non load bearing), put a dividing panel into the storage space, cut the removed door down to fit and hey presto a getatable cupboard for shoes, walking poles and random 'useful things'

Then I replaced theseIMG_3607.jpeg with these IMG_3608.jpeg

Replaced my front 225x75 R16 tyres. An expensive day! The old Michelin Aglis were nearing the legal limit and with a 5 or 6 week trip coming up it seemed sensible to jump now. They had 30,000 miles on them.
Cross climates fitted, so not cheap, but managed a bit of a haggle.
What pleased me most was the new tyres are week 13 of 2026. Made in the week beginning 23rd March, So still warm from the manufacturing process. Not really relevant as I wear my tyres out but tickled me and helped dull the pain of the cost, though not by much.
