Nothing :(

Too blooming cold! I had planned a trip darn sarf to go to the NEC show and visit family but decided it won't be much warmer down there either ;)

Opened Brunhilde up to fetch a pair of Mole Grips so that I could reshape the paint lid for full closure after giving the Dining Room skirting an additional coat of gloss. This was to touch in all the dinks from the falling plaster from the Dining Room ceiling replacements; another item that Aviva aren't prepared to pay out for ... (n)

No matter how carefully everyone looks after their vans, MOT time can create issues. Right now, with Yvonne's review tomorrow, particularly so. It was uplifting to return home with a Pass and no advisories. 🙂

I even remembered to ask for a quote to repair the little ding in our van created by the automatic metal storage gate closing against it. My fault. ☹️

Today I went into our campervan - first time in two and a half months as have been in New Zealand and Australia. It all looks good, no mould, damp or leaks, leisure and engine batteries at 100% so there must have been sun when we were away. Next have to start it up and go for a small drive, on our drive, as it hs been SORN, will tax it from March.

I have been putting it off since I bought the van in November but today decided that the towbar just HAD to come off. I will never tow with the van and have no intention of adding a bike rack, so... Off it came!
Was not a bad job and the bolts and nuts all unscrewed easily. I have left the 7 pin connector still wired up and tucked away behind the bumper for now. I might keep the towbar as it might be of interest to a prospective buyer at some point in the future? But I might offer it for sale on the bay...
The whole lot came to around 32kg which is a useful addition to my available payload.

So, what did YOU do to your van today?

K ;)
I did the same to my MH a couple of years ago, saving just under 40kg, we also had a tow bar mounted bike rack weighing another 16kg that we used, so 56kg hanging off the back before any bikes were put on.
I removed it all and mounted a fixed bike rack, about 8kg, and as you say leaves a useful additional payload.
