Was it tne fuel filter or leak off pipes?

Fuel filter had it serviced last month and the guy says he may have overtighened it which caused the leak but easily sorted.
Annie in future when the filter is getting replaced get the garage to fit a complete housing or at least a new seal and lid ring and tell them NOT to hammer tight use the proper tool
From experience when I was at Peugeot save time inconvenience and money down the line

After this happened to me, I don't know if I would have the garage ever change the filter!

£60 was a good price to fix that. I was billed something like £110 by the garage (not that I paid, as they caused the problem in the first place, so I 'suggested' they cancel the invoice)

After replacing the cab speakers last week, I replaced the rear speakers a couple of days ago. They were aftemarket JVC ones and I replaced with Pioneers again, of the same 4" size but not sure if I have gained anything  . Maybe slightly clearer but nowhere near the improvement I got with the new 6.5" Pioneers in the Cab Doors (but those were significantly more expensive mind).
The mounting position and lack of a decent speaker enclosure won't help so maybe will look at sealing it a bit better some time?

Last year or before, I added some basic shelves to a few of the upper cupboards to add some extra flexibility.

And I often look for storage boxes of the appropriate size to use with these. Earlier this week I was at a Shopping Centre and went into a new shop not seen before called "Typo" (not sure how new it is?) and I saw these Crates ...

Collapsible Crates are nothing new of course, but I have never seen 'mini-crates' this size before and thought could be handy somewhere?

Looking at them when back home I wondered ..... And Voilá!

They happen to be exactly the right size in terms of both Height and Depth to fit under the shelf I added. It was like it was meant to be :giggle:

Well after having the electrics finally sorted out properly we went out tripping and after a few trips the brakes felt a bit dodgy, but me being me thought that the old girl was being menopausal. So just a few weeks ago we went for a trip around Wales and ended up with friends in Corwen doing our usual thing of a pub stop. got up in the morning, did all the usual stuff and set off. The car park was on a slope, does anyone remember a sphincter tightening moment? You stamp on the pedal, and again, and again, but the wall keeps rushing towards you. So driving back to Glossop with gears and handbrake was a fun (????) experience. Anyway once home I tried all the local spanner monkeys, but nowt, but because of Sue's eye problems it got pushed aside. But because our car needed servicing I put out a shout and via a neighbour found a brilliant mobile chap who not only sorted the car but found the problem with the 'van and on Thursday sorted it and now we are ready to rock n roll...So if any of us are in the area and need a mobile mechanic, let me know, he doesn't do electricary but we can recommend one who does.

Your story has taken me back donkey's years. I was driving through the Gwydir Forest to find some crags, when the brakes failed on my mini and I had to ram the bank to stop.

A quick look and I realised I had a failed slave cylinder. So I walked out of the forest, thumbed a lift to a garage, bought a new cylinder and fluid, thumbed a lift back, walked back into the forest, fitted the part, bled the system, and carried on my way. Not for climbing, but to be back in time for a pint or three.

My father drummed into me that if you wanted to be looked on as reliable by girls, then it was essential never to let them down. With rubbish modern cars that rarely break down, those days of fixing anything, anywhere, are now long gone, but thank you for the memory.

No slave cyl on brakes, just a master, rear cyl and front or calipers, you car in them days would be single serc like my imp which did the same aproaching a roundabout, thak heavens last 30 years or more all have duel sys master cylinders which means either front of back lost, except for old skoda 130 or coup which had twin crossover, so 2 pistons on front and one rear, other two pistons linket to the other rear cyl, very good sys, was the 4 piston calipers done this way.

Cleaned the toilet room out today, prity bog standard job but left me flush with excitment, time to put a lid on it, this type of work is not to be sniffed at.
