What did you do to your van today?

The switch for the driver's side electric window became intermittent. I had visions of it getting stuck in the open position .... and then it pouring with rain!

YouTube showed me how, replacement £9.99 from ebay, arrived in 2 days, took 10 minutes to fit.

One of the more simple CV repair jobs.
hi . you tube is your best friend when it's ( HOW do you do this ) got my a/c in the car working again with Halfords A/C pro .cheyenne

Started preparing for our first day out in it for over 6 months. Checked fridge and heating on electric and gas, and the cooker. Slightly reluctant fridge on gas but settled down so all working. Very much looking forward to being out in it at last. 🙂

Bon voyage ,hope it all goes well for you both you must be eager to get the freedom back bill 👏🏻👍

On our first trip away for some time the sat nav showed how out of date it was when we passed the A14 near Huntingdon traversing several fields and causing much confusion. Today I bit the bullet and paid for the latest update from Tom Tom and installed it on the sd card. I did the wildcamping pois at the same time and noticed that the last time I’d done it was 2018! I realise that many use phones for navigation these days but I really like the one built into the van and it works very well when kept up to date despite being 11 years old.

Glad you've managed the first excursion ,it's gonna be a breeze from here on I'm sure a chap with all your experience
well if not you can always sell hot dogs burgers and chips 😉👍🍽️

Trying to get my "wet locker" tidied up a bit. (I hate having to shift lots of loose bits and pieces just to get to something else.).
Found some plastic boxes that fit quite nicely and stack for the waste water tube kit, the impact ratchet driver kit and random straps, plus the actual "wet kit" (hose, external shower attachment, etc), then a Frontier Stove fan and my new 12V Pump for the Kayak stacked on the right, kindly given by Moonshadow, then stuff rarely used (Tyre Pump and Bike Cover on the shelf above, plus folding shovel and window squeegie.

Lots of stuff, but only about 4 containers/items to move at the most to access anything.

It did mean that I no longer have room for the muddy grip track things (can't remember what they are called :) ) in the locker, but I reckon found a better place for them :D

Attached them to the ladder and as well as being out the way, they can act as a bit of a deterrent to anyone who fancies a wee shot up the ladder which is handy.
If I want to use the ladder myself, it is hinged and when I drop the lower part, the tracks are on the inside and out the way of the steps except for the bottom two steps which I can avoid using if I want.

Responded to daughter's SOS from her seasonal caravan ............ it was only a short detour en route home. Toilet cassette stuck, blade open, full, won't release from outside 🤔🤔🤔. Someone had tried to pull the cassette out whilst the blade was open 🙄🙄. Luckily a workman on site has a length of rebar to enable me to push the cassette orange button into the release position, the cogwheel on the blade mechanism had also slipped out of position so iPhone camera cane in very useful to see how to release and refit. Apparently I'm now a fully qualified Thetford technician 🤣🤣🤣
