Filled with water put the heating on put beer in the fridge and a wee bit of breakfast. Heading out to see a gig, reggae and two tone. Cousin plays in the band and meeting up with another cousin for a wee catchup.

Went out to the van to put it up on ramps so water would drain off the roof, turned the key lots of flashing lights and clicking but it didn’t turn over, tried a couple of times with the same result. Tried to jump start it with my spare battery but no change, put the starter battery on charge but I don’t think it is that. Research seems to suggest it might be the ignition switch, anybody else experienced similar symptoms on a 2008 Transit Mk 7 FWD 2.2 tdi?

You could try the fused link near the battery I seem to remember these came as part of the battery cable
