What did you do to your van today?

Bought a Suzuki scooter 13 MTS old 800 miles
£1400..new around £3.2k.Ordered steel to make a towbar mounted rack for it.So can now sell the 2 aluminium folding ebikes that have only been charged twice and the Qpod and trailer that's 24 yrs old and only done 2500 miles ...must get onto eBay still got the 1 yr old 3 way,a 12v compressor coolbox that we used to use as a freezer and a small 240v fridge that was in the van for a few weeks before upgrading to a bigger fridge with separate freezer

There seems to have been a thing for folk buying electric bikes a few years back, our dump was full of them one day i went in, most were bought for kids here in N I reland but they got feedup and would rather be playing on the x box or mobile, those that are still on the roads are used by fast food dilivery boys, esp in the Belfast zone.

Or mobile phone snatchers.

Put oven bk together after painting scabby parts and a very deep clean.
Needs a new grille shelf and grille pan I don't know what happened for these parts to be missing, it's odd as theres a few things missing out of van - shelf from in overhead cupboard, small table , a cushion and the original over carpets - the mind boggles.

you did a good job being able to remove it! I don't think I could get my cooker out the door without breaking it up into parts.

It was a 2 person job, not because of weight but because I didnt want any accidental damage as theres not much manoeuvre room.

Refilled the water tank, flushed some fresh water through the bathroom waste pipes after they began humming their own tune. And swept the grit and detritus from the habitation mats. Loaded and locked the bikes onto the rack ready for moving on from Tortosa PXL_20250209_110524603.jpgtomorrow.

We're aiming for the Ebro Delta, hoping to avoid the mosquitoes, but seeing the apparent 5km spread of Pink Flamingos. But we're ready to retreat at the first buzzy whine of mosquito attack!

We'll spend the night at Aldea Aire, all being well

Steve

Removed the bog, 4 (rusty) screws, 2 wires & a water supply.
Was minging underneath and at back but all clean now and will give bog a proper wash with detergent and hose tommorow before I refit it with stainless steel screws. Got a little bit of veneer re glueing to do in washoom aswell just to tidy it up.

Not today, but a few days ago I fitted extra slats in the island bed base, to give better support to the mattress, then tried it out for 3 days - good improvement.

I tried once again to fire the van up after getting some help from a member who I won't embarrass by naming him, Cheers mate.

Yesterday after being on a proper charger overnight I could lock and unlock the doors several times, and the engine did turn over slowly, so I left it on charge until tonight and all I could get was the indicators flashing but no unlocking, so I unplugged the charger.

Not sure of my next step but it'll be after Friday as it's too hectic here right now.

I am going to attempt to start it again today utilising two jump leads connected together to make one long one, (not my idea, the LB is under a back sofa) positive to positive, I'm thinking it might be wise to pull the positive connection to habitation first in case there is some sort of back feed that may damage something, all too clever for me, but it sort of works in my brain, the jump leads are really good ones bought in the 90s

I misunderstood my friend's intention with the jumpleads, it was simply to pass some power to the VB NOT to start the engine, wrists have been slapped.

Move on nothing to see here.
