What did you do to your van today?

Swapped the dismal trailer lights on the back of the moho (needed as the rear storage box obscure one of the originals )

For a pair of these LED Units

Smaller and neater than the original incarnations ....

And not cheapest ....

BUT very nice and bright even in daylight ....

The 'progressive' indicators are a nice touch too for visibility .

Happy so far with the improvement visibility wise .

Back to Autocaravanas Tambo at Benicarlo after the Moncofa Police visited all the Vans parked in the surrounding area and leafleted them with 'daytime parking only, no overnight camping allowed other than on the Aire'. Despite hammering along, we arrived just as Tambo was closing for lunch, so had to come back at 3pm - and wait (again!). Got the damaged over bed light replaced, and Elaine had the bright idea of getting the two kitchen LEDs replaced at the same time. Invoice was just for the new bulbs €87.01 for the three, no labour! Bearing in mind that Southdown Motorhomes wanted £78.81 for 2 lamps, and fitting would have been extra at £99 per hour plus VAT (minimum 1/2 hour charge), getting all 3 replaced for about £84 including fitting was not too bad. And the illumination in the kitchen is bright enough to play Worktop Football on ... :ROFLMAO:

Made templates from floor area in seating area, kitchen area and washroom area and then took them along to local carpet place to get enough carpet.
On Friday I will cut carpet to template shape then go into Aberdeen to get the edges bound.

DON'T do what a mate of mine did and "make the job easier" by marking the carpet on the back. He didn't flip the template too so after cutting to shape his options were:-
A upside down carpet.
B buy another piece. 😁

I have marked carpets ready for trimming from back but carpets are facing right way against templates 😁.

Hardly, Trev. The lamp prices are 2/3 of UK prices, and the labour rate around 1/2 that in UK. And the finished job is much better than the UK Main Agent for Burstner managed (which be necessitated the lamp replacement ab initial)
