What did you do to your van today?

Not today, but on Wednesday, I stripped down the beds' slats, they were bent the wrong way, what a cow to put them back in again, I'm hoping that I don't need to do it again if they are knackered.

I have a few more jobs to crack on with when I feel up to it, I love working in the van but me bod don't :D :D

A good place to get replacement springs is the IKEA Bargain Corner. Almost always sets there which you can adapt.

If they are bent over, they will be knackered - how do the middle ones compare to the ones are the foot and head of the bed which don't have much weight on them?

Aye, but that means going to Ikea, I think you can order slats online, I need to measure them, I didn't have a tape measure with me at the time.

that’s a good fit room for another alongside lol managed to fit mine with scraped knuckles and struggled to get inverter on top but what a difference the battery makes, david ( wildebus) said the problem is it’s like a sports car the more power you have the more you use ! in two years since i fitted the 460 we have added electric kettle , microwave , airfryer oven , induction hob , george foreman grill , insectecuter etc

Spent the day putting lithium fogstar 460ah in and inverter and b2b cables loads still do .

been lucky most of the old cables of old van fit with a bit of modifications.

Sparky coming friday to fit 240v transfer switch .
When he comes, I suggest you ask him to fit some suitable cables to the Inverter. The ones you have look way too small to me.
Are they 16mm2? I would say for that 2500W Inverter and the distance to the battery, I would go for 50mm2.

You can reuse them for the B2B I would say.

The ones on inverter are bigger than they look rated at 200 amps,,the 2 on floor are for b2b which are rated at 85amps only fitting 30amp b2b .
All worked for 2 years in our old van
We only use small kettle air fryer both 1000w slow cooker. 80w .and Mrs cpac machine .

I would be interested in the actual size of the cable. Getting the right cable requires more than just the ampacity rating of the cable.

The other day, I removed the EHU cable to the CBE lounge socket and put in a removable link to the inverter so I can easily plug into it.

I fitted a better battery monitor that has more history memory 72 days.

I bought a 10' GRP ladder yesterday to hopefully be able to give the van the cleaning it needs at last.

25mm rated at 200amps but take on board your advice to up grade to 50mm,
And actually some would say I am too low on the 50mm2 cable!
Take this excert from the Victron Manual for their Inverters - and remember the 12/3000 Inverter is a 2400W output, so actually lower than yours ....

If you follow their recommendation, you would use 90mm2 cable from battery to inverter!
As your inverter and battery are so close, I think you are safe with the 50mm2, but that 25mm2? A wise thing to change. If you were to run the inverter at a high load (which you may be much more tempted to do now you have so much more battery capability), that 25mm2 cable would literally be too hot to handle after a couple of minutes.
