What did you do to your van today?

And actually some would say I am too low on the 50mm2 cable!
Take this excert from the Victron Manual for their Inverters - and remember the 12/3000 Inverter is a 2400W output, so actually lower than yours ....

If you follow their recommendation, you would use 90mm2 cable from battery to inverter!
As your inverter and battery are so close, I think you are safe with the 50mm2, but that 25mm2? A wise thing to change. If you were to run the inverter at a high load (which you may be much more tempted to do now you have so much more battery capability), that 25mm2 cable would literally be too hot to handle after a couple of minutes.

Sparky look at our cables for inverter, there 25 mm size checked ,
Our max appliance draw is 80 Amps.
Cables have never got warm as I checked regularly when used for long periods .

As for 2500w inverter it works on pull not push ,so only draws what it needs.
And better to be bigger than required so not working flat out all the time..
But as I have ordered and paid for new cables I fit them .

I am sure when I bought my 70mm welding cable I payed £4.50 a metre God knows what it is now ?.
typical on-line prices, you would be well over a tenner a metre - and being heavy stuff, postage is not cheap either :)
