Off to Llandeilo this morning for a medical appointment for my wife. Then the rest of the day is pretty much free.
Despite being retired we still get the weekend feeling, so few chores are done at weekends. There is a full afternoon or rugby on BT Sports so I'll settle in an watch that I think.
Morning all,
Yesterday was a cracker, and it looks as though we're in for another good un. Lawn's cut n trimmed, flowers bloomin everywhere, the perfik place to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening Guinness
I jet washed our patio yesterday in readiness for a BBQ tonight for tea. All I need to do now is get the winter covers off the table and give it a good clean.
Then off food shopping in Carmarthen. After that hopefully a walk then some rugby on the telly and then hopefully sat outside having our tea.
Just spoken to Barrie. He's okay and waiting for results from scans etc. He'll probably post on here when he hears and has something definite to tell us.
grass all cut -sad to see all the daisies and buttercups being beheaded but i'll get over it . nice to see the g/kids playing on that weird thing i bought them does about 5mph and spins nicely . now we're off to a bootie where i walk a lot and look at a load of old rubbish that i don't buy ,but i really enjoy it !
After yesterday's lovely weather we are expecting more of the same today.
No plans really as we tend not to head out on BH's if we can help it. Our village was full of emmets yesterday (using the Cornish word). I'll have a potter in the garden this morning and then a walk after lunch followed by a few hours sat outside finishing off the Sunday paper.
Our car is in for its first service this morning so I'll pop it into Carmarthen. Hopefully I can wait while it's being done. After that I have to nip to B&Q to get some paint as the boss has decided that our bedroom needs painting!
Luckily for me we have a general builder chap who does everything, so he is going to do it whilst we are away from this Friday. It'll save living in disruption...and save me having to do it! I did every room in our bungalow except the master bedroom and living room, when we moved in in 2018. I also painted the outside render as well...so I'm quite happy to pay Ian to do these last 2 rooms tbh.
After that I'll pop in Tesco as we are having an impromptu BBQ for tea. There's nowt better than an unplanned, impromptu BBQ I reckon
