What did you do to your van today?

I’m pretty hopeless at techy things on my van, so had a mobile caravan specialist round to give the van a once over and do a few jobs on it. The locker hinges were getting stiff, so that‘s now sorted. The hab door was adjusted to a better fit. I’d checked for damp, but feel better that this has now been done professionally, all good thankfully. Gas and electrics checked and the overhead vent windows removed so that I could clean them up.
Now just to load up a few things for our next little trip starting tomorrow.

Drove it from Glencaple to the Frog (Moffat). Absolutely exhausted now after such a long drive - around 30 miles. It had its hab check in Stafford on Tuesday and we’re still wending our way home. Is it any wonder it takes so long when we travel such long distances between stops!

Hope this isn’t an age related thing ( comfort breaks)😃😃😃😃

Fitted a dashboard sealing strip like this
Looks neat in place.
I wish there was one in place when I dropped the hinge pin off the map support. It spun out of my handxand dropped down between the screen and dash.

I fitted the same on my T5 after several losses down behind the dash it does cut noise slightly as well but the main use was to close the gap.

Yesterday I heard ours snoring so gave it a nudge and had a drive to Oswestry. Started on the button and no problems there or back. Put it back to bed in the storage site and said nite nite for another 2 weeks. It doesn't know it yet but we're planning to do the NC500 later this year. Gonna take 2 weeks and use a multitude of methods to overnight; wild/Britstop/sites. The current planning involved the delivery of 2 books (Rough Guide and the Charles Tait guide book). Have today ordered the route map which is adapted from the OS series - when that arrives the serious planning of "Plan A, B and C" will be looked at. We hope to be able to finish the route in good time to get to the Hereford meet!

Geoff are you just going to clean the roof thoroughly and then put them back?
