What did you do to your van today?

Solar is finally for the first time this year providing more more than using! About blooming time!!
3.46Kwh in last 5 complete days in Spain, David, and the Roamer is boiling kettles, charging bike batteries, and making porridge every day! Mind you, the battery has never reached much beyond 13.45v with that workload,; the halcyon days of 14.22v are a memory from the M/home being parked up in Burntisland, waiting for the call to action ...

Just looked .. had 5kWh total in the last 5 days here, But I think I have a fair bit more solar on the roof than you currently? With the Compressor Fridge, around 3kWh of that 5kWh will be for the Fridge alone which you will have had the gas on for instead with your 3-Way.

Trying to picture how it is possible to hit the flue vent with a Door Mirror? boiler fitted on the front wing?
I have the full story now, it was windy and the bin was near the road behind the van, instead of reversing the car out & then moving the bin into the drive she put it at the side of the car, then hit the flue grill trying to avoid the bin, to be fair she's a good driver but she was late for an appointment.

Sold the van and easy lifter and scooter..
Good day .

Now to find the new one..
Autotrail vline se .
Make sure you see the new one in the metalwork before parting with any money, deposit or otherwise. For new campers there is much promising of new delivery dates going on, and very little of actual delivery happening.

Watch out for side winds is all I can say

Good idea, but I would have added PROPER dimensions as well i.e. Feet and Inches :D

(PS. get your sharpie out. soon fix those pesky decimal points)
Funny you should say that. Just back from a week on the south coast. The only signs we saw that applied to us were width restrictions - 6'6".

Nice looking Van , but I have to say when pitched nxt to a Van like yours the sound of the Sliding Door can be quite annoying, sorry 😞

That colour is simply stunning. Well done!

I'll be interested to hear how you get on with the cab panoramic roof light. They say it affords more headroom, which is absolutely true.

We have the previous model with a large cab shelf, and I'm not sure how we'd cope without it as it's incredibly useful. But I admit that in line with the comments on your model, I sometimes clout my head on it.

What's heating like not had a boiler like this before and under the van.

To us, the van is extremely well insulated, and doesn't need a lot of heat. But that is subjective. We honestly believe that it's warmer than our own home.

The only thing I've never quite got used to is the wash hand basin - It's a large rectangle trough and takes quite a lot of water. Whilst it's easy to clean behind and below the tilting mechanism, the plastic top on which the tap sits I simply cannot clean as much as I would like.

Apart from that minor gripe, we both love it, and I sincerely hope you enjoy yours too.

You could buy a door for the house.igloo.jpg

I keep meaning to increase the insulation in this house, Trev. In my previous home I put in so much loft insulation that the purchaser's surveyor was afraid to enter for fear of going through the ceilings. I suspect he felt that if I'd taken that much trouble I'd probably done it right. 😂
