What did you do to your van today?

Fitted............ sucker hooks in the shower for wet coats......... .
Can you remember which ones you used please?

The ones I tried fitting simply fell off the boarding, and it would be good to know something that actually works.

Thanks for that, sadly, we live in an IKEA free zone. I'll Google them.

I had a link but it thought it was spam so found them in Amazon, very good as you screw the sucker on to create a vacuum

Does this look like the ones you bought? It's the only one I can find with a screwed over cap. (We have a small bathroom in our panel van, and the wall I'd intended to use has a waterproof board that's neither smooth nor shiny, and I don't want to drill holes in it.) immeln-hook-zinc-plated__0488420_pe623076_s31.jpg

Thanks for the thought cronkle.

Just to compound things, the walls curve slightly, and that type of hook won't lie flat.

Looks like I'll have to think of a Plan B.

These. If the surface isn’t shiny, stick a patch of self adhesive vinyl (sticky backed plastic!) where you want the hook to go. You can peel it off later if you need to.

Spent the morning scraping loose paint off the roof. Well known Ducati problem...

Quick rub down and coat of silver Hammerite smooth in this fine weather which should stabilise it. It's confined to the gutters so is out of sight most of the time.

K ;)

I've opened every window and door in the van to give it a good blow through in this lovely weather. The crazy thing is, we've had a couple of below zero nights, so I had to put the little heater in the other day.

I also managed to source a replacement mat tray and top surround for the hab door threshold. It's been cracked for a couple of years but has finally given up the ghost. I thought I'd be in for a long day of phone calls but the second company I called managed to source one in about 5 minutes! I'm most impressed with Preston Caravans and Motorhomes (y)
