A potentially very serious occurrence reported today. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...ing-Heathrow-captain-pilot-odour-cockpit.html
BA, "a minor technical issue". It is alarming this serious HS issue continues, Bill. Which is why, and if possible, I'll never be herded like cattle in an airport, nor put at risk with this continuing Aerotoxic situation.A potentially very serious occurrence reported today. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...ing-Heathrow-captain-pilot-odour-cockpit.html
Sadly many even more serious but similar events have already been ignored. https://avherald.com/h?article=4b6eb830I saw that report this morning and was shocked at just how serious it was. I didn't update your thread because I could be absolutely certain that it was an aerotoxic event. Thanks for confirming, Bill.
Surely it can't be ignored now.
Generally on a twin the flight deck is from one engine and the cabin from another. Our 757s, which were particularly bad for short bursts of “sweaty socks” smell when the throttles were closed at top of descent were sold on to a freight operator who fitted filters to the flight deck only since the freight made no complaints.I presume flight deck and cabin are fed with air from 2 different systems?
It seems often that its only one or the other.
Unfortunately Bill, it's a sad fact that until financial penalties outweigh corporate greed/profits/dividends which I doubt, progress will be very slow.
