To be honest they do have a good rep, as do older Hymens, it all depends on budget, newer is usually best of course, as mentioned parts become scare, and you are limited to ex caravan used parts, base vehicle parts too have to be considered as does the resale price.

How old is the tranny, post R reg is best as most will have a turbo.

Aww trixie I’m sorry to hear that you’ve fractured your back again, hopefully you’ll get some answers soon as to why, and we have been to see the van today ( Tuesday) and sadly it wasn’t to be,it was really wet inside under the seats, plus it did have a problem before, because you could tell with the wood trim but when I lifted the seat off the back it was soaking wet, actually dripping! Which was a shame because the layout was good, hopefully we have seen the last of the snow it has been a gorgeous day here in Blackpool today

That's not good news Trixie with the camping season about to start, hope they can get you sorted and mobile soon.

Sounds like a wasted journey Jeanette, but the right one will turn up - makes you wonder what the sellers are thinking, offering it for sale in that condition.

what a shame jeanette, it was a nice looking vehicle...set out like a caravan with ample seating..........well it wasnt meant to be........next time maybe.....

blackpool, ah well, candy floss, kiss me quick hats, trams, and of course the tower......must see if we can get there over the summer months.....only visited twice...once as a child..then again about 20 yrs ago.......
went to nearby southport a few times a couple of years ago....used to go regularly years ago with the caravan.....ahh memories.........

Chris I don’t think she really knew about because she was happy fume to lift the cushion well I couldn’t I had to ask Malcolm she was an older woman that was selling it as she said her husband passed away about four years ago and it had been standing on her daughters drive and now she needed the money, they said it had been to a fabricator and they told her to put the price on! It looked as if the roof had no seams from what Malcolm could see, because we didn’t look at anything else once I found that, it wasn’t damp it was soaking wet and to be honest she did look mortified! The weather yesterday was glorious trixie and we never stay in the city centre we always stay at a lovely hotel at north shore lovely and quiet showing my age now!! Lol ? the owners were saying they are trying hard to clean the centre of town up,and it does seem to be working. Are you any better today trixie I do hope so nothing worse is there? X

Hi folks,

It's the first time I've had a good enough connection to do more than just look at new posts. I've had a three mobile SIM for quite a few years, no problem, but since agreeing to a new contract, connectivity has fallen through the floor. They might be taking it back if they can't improve.

Sorry to hear your news Trixie, I hoped you were on the up. Could it be a pulled muscle? Whatever it is I hope they can give you something to make it less painfull without knocking you out.

I thought you'd found the one Jeanette. Because of the construction they're not supposed to leak. It could be problems around the windows, but you don't want to start out with problems. Better luck next time.

Have you got your B to B up and running Chris? We've always been pleased with ours.

Good to see you back in the land of posters Sue.

Finished fitting the combined B2B and MPPT solar controller; tis behind the drivers seat, so I stood outside doing it with head of tool distribution inside, handing me stuff as needed. Not windy, but still nippy if you stopped moving about.

How did you get on at the meet?

Sue we thought so too when we first saw it,and it was just the layout that we fancied, we couldn’t believe how wet the cushions were when we lifted them up. The only other thing we can think of is it is getting in through the window how’s David keeping Sue,well I hope

We had a good weekend Chris.David never stopped talking on Friday night, he had to put a fresh battery in his machine, he really enjoyed himself, but then how could he not with such good company. He stayed in Saturday night, he tired himself out, but was rarin to go on Sunday night.
Thanks for asking Jeanette, as you can see he's doing ok. We're getting ready for our next meet at Reepham, in between getting a bit of welding done and an mot.

evening jeanette....shame about the damp, however, could it have been beacuse it hadnt been used for a long while.

had to take the cushions out of our van at christmas because they were so damp and wet,,,,,,,(a window had not been closed properly) that was the cause of it.

could have been the same with the van you went to see......i think if she had known it would be damp she would have taken the cushions out to dry before advertising it.......as you say she was surprised that they were damp......yes i liked the layout of it also.....such a shame
