France/ Spain trip with possibly Portugal.

Just got the last pitch in Zaragoza, by the tram tracks, just had a walk along and counted 10 UK registered motorhomes here. Probably all heading for the sun. 8° here now. Slightly warmer than Pamplona that was 6° Will have a look round Zaragoza tomorrow, probably catch the tram in.

We are staying at here for the night

and there are quite a few British MH's here as well.
Interesting, how much is it per night and how easy is it to get into Zaragoza. Just looked on the map and it is 16 minutes away from this aire. Just had a look at the reviews, they aren't very good, I think looking at the website they charge for each adult, then for the motorhome and then for ehu if required. Think we are going to have another night here and then spent the afternoon in Zaragoza.

We last stayed at Zaragoza in February 2020 and the cost per night for 2 adults, ehu, and car/caravan was around €29 [£25+]

No , more central , parking spots ?
The Aire I'm stopping on is free and caught the tram into old town from across the road for€1.50 each, they seem to run every 5 minutes up until late at night, they are very quiet though, not like the rattling trams we used to have in Blackpool.

moved on after a couple of lovely days on marbella prom now at estopona on the common ground next to the marina we are of course the blue dot , as we face the sea on the right there is 100yds or so of scrubland with probably 20 vans tucked in caravans travellers etc inc this english mash up of caravan & pick up , seems a nice spot beach & bar in one direction marina with irish bar curry house + other bars in opposite direction , weathers cooling down for a few days down to 14 give this sunburn a chance to ease up

Just reading on one of the other Facebook groups and the police have today moved them on from Mijas and also at a parking spot on Benalmadena promenade car park.

They must be having a purge, if only folk would stick to a few nights and then move on, spoils it for us all, if I wanted to camp I would book into a campsite, they are cheap enough, just booked 7 nights in Benidorm for €23 a night.

Thanks for that . Unfortunately, in my experience, Spanish not keen on dogs on public transport

Me and the wife must of been the only ones to buy tickets, you purchase them on a machine on the platform then swipe them at a reader at the various doors when you get on the tram, off course no one checks as there is no conductor and there was only me and the Mrs who swiped ours, no one else bothered, they must be loosing a fortune to fare Dodgers. Lol

we were on mijas when the police arrived to kick everyone off it was a farce 150 motorhomes trying to leave and 300 cars trying to come in we moved 50 yards up the rd and walked back down to the market by which time the police had gone and vans were filling up the vacant places , in spain when someone complains the police must be SEEN to be doing something as soon as the complainant is satisfied so are the police ,

€25 per night (2 people) with an option not to have EHU (although all pitches have EHU so I'm not sure how they would police that). Large pitches with water on each pitch too; heated toilet blocks and an epically hot shower too! There is a resto on site and the 3 course Menu de Dia was €12 with bread and a drink I think. Resto is open all day for food.

I'm surprised if the reviews are bad as we have stayed here many times and it is a favourite with Brits coming/going to the coast.

Not sure how easy it is it get into town as we only use it as a handy stopping point.

we’re actually on a site gasp ! shock! horror ! only because jan wants to do a couple of wash loads ( after only a fortnight away 😱) weather is poor by local standards for the next week so we hopped up the coast from gibraltar to near barbate where there is no rain forecast stumbled across a bit of escape from the discotheque! just like dick & angie this couple kids & 5 dogs have spent the last 3 years converting an old discotheque into a campsite , still a bit of a shambles the walled external dance floor has been repurposed as large plots walled garden , the whole site is either artificial grass or gravel the toilets and w cs are a bit weird the showers are outside with doors with a gap top & bottom the washing machines are in their own kitchen , on the plus side across the road is a magnificent beach with lakes and walking at the rear , the large sheltered internal plots are €30 the external ones €20 inc 3amp electric oh if only it looked as good as the pictures 399566F3-41D9-484B-85BB-51CE203C8C49.png

Campsite.... ? Don't worry, your secret is safe with us.

With a fortnight's laundry on board, We can understand why nobody is parked on your doorstep.
Hope the weather improves for you .
We're getting some evil cutting winds, coming from over Granada...

We are near Murcia on the coast and yesterday was perhaps the worst weather we have had in 5 years of coming for the winter to Spain. It didnt stop raining all day and was blooming cold too!

Never mind: at least the beer/gin is cheap!

think we’ve got a week of the same weather coming in andulucia 12/15 degrees you’d think it was april in the uk lol

Looks like it Ken. A 'high' of 16 forecast for where we are next Monday!!

Mind you as I type a round orange ball has mysteriously appeared in the sky and folks are rushing to get their prayer mats out...

we have such strong sunlight it’s sweltering behind glass but step outside only 12 and a real chill factor in the wind & that’s basically the forecast until end of the month , be all right when lee gets down here sun always shines on the righteous ! or so he tells me
