Prostate Cancer

Its despicable how slow they are.
I am sure it’s a post code lottery . I am in County Durham between Hartlepool and Sunderland .
If I had still been in Southampton I am sure the results would be a lot different. As just getting an appointment at a doctor was the last time I asked was. 6 weeks.

Just back from the Southampton area today as I had doctors appointment .

Here we ring at 8am amd get a phone call same day usually then one from the doc usually same day then either get drugs sent to Asda or go see the doc etc, pointless risk going for appointments as there never are any.

My wife has been phoning all of nearly 2 weeks for a doc appointment, awnser ph, we are full so please go to your local a & e,

With the doctors the biggest question is was it like this before the very start of Covid.

It was not long before you could see a doctor face to face .
While Covid was on the workloads on doctors was more controlled. Hence that’s when it all changed .

And sadly is very unlikely to return to the way it was before.

Most of our GPs didnt turn up and worked from home now they are one day week.

If I do not get a call back I go to the surgery and ask why, only had to do it once as they really do not like a face to face.

We have a horrendously difficult web system now, a check boxes I just tell them I'm 73 and dont do puters so they fill it all in for me on the phone.

Our A&E Hospital has an automated electronic triage system in place of a reception. It was obvious what it was by Question 3.

By an incredible co-incidence my wife was called forwards immediately. In and out in less than 2 hours. To be fair she had broken her shoulder in three places, including the cup and ball joint, but I didn't know that when I completed the electronic triage template.

Good man, i do the same and also say i dont have a smart ph when they ask, if you dont the blighters will pester you to hell with adverts on health.
I do this with all gov sites and use a ph to book car mot, makes the bu--ers work for a living and not hide behind a pc.

I had sepsis after my second biopsy 111 said have you tried paracetamol.

Wankersm
When I had a stay in hospital recently three patients came into the ward with sepsis, all being told that they were just in time to be treatable. If there’s any doubt you may have sepsis it’s definitely worth getting it checked promptly.

Our surgery is fantastic. We have a really good online booking system and we order drugs online (legal ones, the illegal ones we go to the local skate park!) :ROFLMAO: Never had a problem with appointments, but if I do, I can phone NHS helpline and get a referal. Seen the same day. But other surgeries in the town are rated badly. Luck of the draw I guess.

Jaberwocky day today, we should strictly have done it yesterday but the powder part had gone into a solid with bouncing around France for 3 weeks so wanted confirmation that it was ok to keep tapping till it went back to a close powder again which it was and also the time spent doing the injecting which the paper instruction doesn't mention as it isn't a DIY job but Liz did or okay, and I think better than the nurses too as she took her time, so hopefully I don't have the adverse reactions I had the last twice.

The online instructions are much better.

It’s a funny world.
Sometimes things get better

Some times things get worse

Sometimes things get very complicated.

And the older one gets the more confusing it all seems..

Orange or maybe a dark Brown, hard to tell in light from the Sodium street lamps.

It's amazin wot raisins will do.

Not had any further reactions to the jabs so far.

Had what I thought was a UTI about 12 months ago but urine test negative. GP did finger up bum and found hardening of prostate on one side and a pea sized nodule. PSA 0.8!! Refered for MRI which was inconclusive because of replacement hip interfering with image. Decided to have biopsy. Went for biopsy in September, different consultant, said why are you here? PSA 0.8 you don't need biopsy we'll just watch and wait. Next PSA in January 0.7! Worried that I might be getting wrong advice so discussed things with my GP who checked prostate which was still hardened and nodule still there. He suggested biopsy was only why to determine issue so am having biopsy on 30 May, this time will not be deterred! Oh yes I'm 74.
