The AA have warned that anyone travelling in icy conditions should take a shovel, blankets, sleeping bag, extra clothing including scarf hat and gloves. 24 hour supply of food and drink, de-icer,rock salt,torch,spare battery, petrol can,first aid kit and jump leads.........that's all well and good but I felt like a right idiot on the bus !!

Well,we're back in dear old Blighty after a splendid week on La Palma. Trip out to check the van which we keep in a yard belonging to an old lad when it's not in use. The place was covered in snow and frosted, which made it cleaner under foot at least. Two photos in the same day, twelve hours apart.

We have had no snow at all Colin earlier this morning about 2ish it was a good frost but 7-30 it had disappeared now it's turned cold! So I suspect my washing will turn solid

I had rather assumed that you would get more than here in the south east, Jeanette. I've just cleared 6 inches of snow from about 100 square metres of drive so am more than ready for a helping of tomato soup!
It's snowing lightly again so I hope that I haven't just wasted my time!

no seriously young Colin you see that on the windscreen it started to thaw then as it slid it froze solid and other than getting a scraper to it it ain’t budging same on the solar panel too and it has started snowing again.️

I see what you mean, Annie. Have you plans to use the Moho in the near future and so can't wait for a thaw? Down here it looks like thawing weather on Wednesday. With heavy rain.
