Weather Report..................

It does look lovely, Jeanette. The sunrise was red about 20 mins ago, turned gold not so long ago (see photos), now fading away to blue skies and just spotted jet in sky on way to Newcastle airport, probably bringing 'em back from cheap winter holidays in Spain, Tenerife or some such :)

Still freezing cold & frosty, but not quite as severe as yesterday.

Smug filter now fitted.
it's OK here.
No rain, socks or sleeves expected.
No trace of yesterday's freak snowstorm..
.

The builder's truck arrived at 8 ..even the driver was carrying a hammer.
There's 4 , cheerful, polite blokes hammering away, two inside, two on the roof. The boss has driven off... Probably to bring more hammers?

They probably need bigger hammers, sledge or maybe Jack hammers.
Do you have to feed copious amounts of tea to Portuguese builders?
I suppose the nude sunbathing is off for a few days.

This crowd are a bunch of true gentlemen.
The Boss and his son are neighbours and are currently flooded with work. We looked after them in the thin times of the Credit Crunch and they look after us now.
They Stop for 10 minutes , every hour, .. 18 degrees and rising. They don't need hot drinks, just a sip of water, every hour, as they sweep up.
There will be a case of beer ready, to lay the dust, when they have the final clear up.

Nude sunbathing...?
My Backside is a light mahogany... That'll do for a few days.

very overcast to day here in n.yorks....mighty , mighty cold BRRRRRR and another brrrrr...............sun now trying to show its face, but dont think its going to manage it......fire on FULL.......hot water bottle up jumper today....lol.

very envious of pomagranite man.........need some warm weather over here......

It's about 10 degC, calm and drizzling on Par Sands right now, though the sun is doing it's best to peep through the cloud layer.
So I'll make some lovely Ethiopian Rare Blossom coffee:

'A Dazzling Riot Of Honeysuckle, Mango, Blossom, Whiskey And Spice'.

That should hit the spot.

Colin :):):)

It took the sun a while to show itself today but it managed in the end, and this morning Malcolm said it was ice on the car and it seems as if it’s going to be frosty tonight but not as hard near Durham

Surprisingly warm evening, against all the forecasts. No heating on , at all.

Good job, too !
We have to pick our way uphill to where the van is parked in Bedroom Mode... En suite !

The bedroom walls are rendered and awaiting painting. The lads mopped the floor before leaving.. Imagine ?
The blokes are down from the roof.. We think .. !
The Pedriero..( Stone mason ) , has worked miracles, repairing the terrace tiling and walls ...
Looks like they have just enough work until lunchtime , when they will collect their wages ..

Friday is, " Poets Day " , here too. ... P155 Off Early, Tomorrow's Saturday.
Good night all,.
We're on early doors tomorrow.

It was a clear night earlier on but now it’s clouded over and it feels as though it’s starting to rain (hopefully) rain and nothing else!
