This morning started off sunny around about half 12 it started to drizzle by th time I went to the garage to fill the car it was lashing down now the sun is out again for now.... here at County Durham

Sticky , cloudy evening, had to sit outdoors until 11pm, last night.
No wind. 25 degrees.
Checked the weather .
No rain for a week .
Opened all the windows and skylights.
4.15 am..
Jerked into consciouseness . By rapid pittering and pattering.
Grumbled around, shutting everything .
By the time I got back to bed..
You can guess the rest !
Forecast'
26 max, clouds, calm . No sign of rain until 1st October.
Much the same tonight, but fresher

After a wet night it's been dry in Herts this morning but the wind has been a steady 75kph from the north west.
So this morning I headed out directly into the wind on the Brompton to Sharpenhoe Clappers, Bedfordshire which is on the edge of the Chiltern escarpment:



Cycling home with a 75kph tail wind was a lot more comfortable than the cycle ride out!
I wonder if the wind is too strong for a kite this afternoon?
Perhaps a small kite?
