Hi Dave , last time we were at Menung s Loire the Gypsies had all but taken over just past the aire

At Beaugency it is to rear of hut near entrance
Nice sunsets and morning sunrise

Hi Graham, Yes Meung was quiet this time but all the decent restaurants were closed for annual holidays. So we sauntered along the river to Beaugency and the municipal campsite across the river has had its barrier broken and at a conservative estimate there are at least a hundred or so Gypsy vans over there, but the town is quiet. When we got back from our meal, a couple more French vans had turned up so just 4 vans on the aire. Whereas Meung aire was full and few vans on the main car park.

Left Souillac on a lovely autumnal morning and had an easy journey up to Meung-Sur-Loire. Now spending the evening sitting in the remaining sunshine in the square at Beaugency

lovely start to the day in Beaugency, early morning wake up from the local boule league congregating by the aire. Loads of games now in full swing, very serious and exclusively male, tape measures well in evidence

If I'm to fit in a bike ride today here in Herts I'll have to spend an hour or two fitting bouyancy aids to the Brompton.
Or use a snorkel.

we all understand the further south the better the weather in this hemisphere anyway but we moved down to the coast only about 30mls but it’s gone from 34 to 28deg much more comfortable for sitting on a beach

Took the slow road up to Wissant today, ready for crossing back tomorrow. Started nice but further north it started sheeting down and blowing a very gusty force something, had to pump up the suspension to 5 bar to keep stable ..... at least we are on the tunnel tomorrow morning, wouldn’t fancy a crossing tonight .....

It did get worse but not weather wise there was a bad crash that shut the M62 so everyone was diverted across saddleworth moor which wasn't fun
