We're just a mirror image of that.. lousy weather from Wednesday night until this morning.
Now it's superb. The painters are out there, enjoying it.... Singing and whistling.
All cisterns full.
Won't need to trouble the brandy bottle, at coffee time.
A drop or two of rain fell on me on my ride from Herts to Beds.
According to 'Weather Radar' it was just a glancing blow from showers moving northwards..........but I really should get home before the heavy rain arrives shown to be moving my way from the south.
Another cracker forecast.
Max 22.
Yesterday was perfect for outdoor working.
An hour after the painters knocked off we had a surprise downpour..
Pity it washed off the final half hours paint.
Into every life, a little rain must fall..!
10 degrees, calm and dry at the moment. Maybe an odd shower later. Just heard another flight leaving for Tenerife, people still heading for the sun out of Scotland despite quarantine on return.
Herts is dry, about 12°C - and the air is still.
As the day progresses we're expecting brighter skies with some sunshine together with the odd shower.
That'll do me very well indeed for November.
We're sitting on the terrace...
Sweater and long trousers, but sockless .
A cool 18 degrees, but the crickets are serenading us.
The painters have tidied up, just odds and ends tomorrow.
Looks a treat.
Then it's the builder back to lay the SE Terrace and the garden firm to plant it up.
All paid for by what we've saved in 8 months of lockdown.
Mustn't grumble.
