What did you do to your van today?

Repaired the water container trolley. Water spillage from refills had caused telescopic handles to seize, ripping off the pop rivets. Dried the handles and regreased, and repaired the enlarged rivet holes with self tappers. Also regreased my shirt whilst I had the container open ... 🙄

Had some work done to the van today timing belt changed full service oil and all the filter’s and other fluids. The company that done the work are mobile after he finished he checked the whole van over repaired a fault in my tail light that three other supposed auto electricians couldn’t find it was a fault in the wiring to the towbar socket. He even checked and lubrecated the door hinges a wee detail but so professional. I would highly recommen this company breath of fresh air. They are based in Lanark and do all types of motorhome repairs and installations.

Decided to fit a gauge to the Calor Bottle. Have one on the Gaslow and I think it is a handy thing to have.

Whilst I was in the process of fitting this, I noticed the pigtail from the regulator to the Gaslow is cracking.

I think this is still intact internally but not looking that clever so have ordered a replacement up. (This could be the original pigtail in fact so replacing it is likely overdue anyway.)

This company gets very good reviews on their Facebook page and other motorhome groups especially in the central area

Aforementioned Gas Hose replaced :) (it was dated Feb 2007 so well overdue to be replaced as well!)

A couple of weeks ago the trailer plug fell out the socket for some reason and the bouncing around as I drove home clearly did not do it much good....

Never found these plugs very durable even when they don't get dragged on the ground. When looking for a replacement, came across a metal version :) Obviously a bit more expensive but it looks a lot better generally and the way it is made it is a lot easier to put together than the plastic ones I have used.

First run out with the new plug today shortly (I know how to live it up!) but I won't (deliberately anyway) be letting it dangle to test how it fares against the road
