What did you do to your van today?

Got an estimate for some damage, got home and then made a claim on the insurance after bashing the rear on a lamp post when turning right out of the parking space. I'm such a muppet!!!

There will be a fair amount of gaffer tape on my van for the next couple of months as the guy I took it to for the estimate said it'll be 6-8 weeks for the parts...

Repurposed original Reversing Camera system into Security Camera for bike rack (see here for into)

So can now use this at any time to see the rack, not just when using reverse and with a key in the ignition

I know it’s been said before but what a difference to my solar output by just cleaning the panels. More than double the input and it’s a grey cloudy day here.
I know David of Wildebus fame mocks my Leiffheit Extending Window Cleaning Mop, Wully [although he did order one for himself after my demo cleaning at Lochore!], but it is brilliant for cleaning the Solar Panel, especially with the new Henchman Ladders which allow to see the M/H roof (y). The first roof clean after the Ladders arrived turned the nice fluffy mophead into a Chimney Sweep's reject rod ... Never seen so much muck, and as you rightly say, the difference in Solar Power is astonishing [ot maybe it's astonishing that the Panel produced any power under all that muck!

I have my Leifheit safely locked away in the Motorhome ready for deployment :) Possibly this weekend! :D

You have to register the Leifheit with Police Scotland as it is regarded as a Deadly Weapon (the sight of seeing someone washing a Motorhome roof with one has been known to cause seizures due to the shock of such a strange activity :) )

Continuing with this, made some further tweaks to cables and connections and can now see this camera view when in the Loft Bed via the little bedroom TV (see here for more info)

(just noticed that this view is not mirrored, unlike the Cab Monitor. Doesn't really matter, just an observation).

hi burge . we like the pub stopovers when they do breakfast's or we stayed at one which was taken over by Indian's & did a super curry or one that was chinese . apart from a handful of farm sites ( 5 CL'S ) we only use pub stopovers in rip off motorhome unfriendly Britain . 6 months in Europe for us . Cheyanne

Each to their own I’d say. I’ve not felt ripped off touring Britain using a mix of wilding, CL and CS sites and an occasional pub or Britstop. Too much to do and see in our beautiful land to head elsewhere. Just hope to be fit enough to resume our travels one day!

We're on Heligan near Mevagissey at the mo lovely Shower Block well maintained site hence £32 a night seems to be the normal for decent Touring Sites nowadays.
