I was thinking the same Del lololYup! Just sitting out there on the porch, watching the world go by.
I would have ask you Terry had you been closer mate but in the end Reg welded it up for meWho did the welding Jeff?
Ps, will also save a few bob on funeral expenses
Not burnt a rod since January, hoping to keep it this wayI would have ask you Terry had you been closer…
Thanks for that Terry I'll do it .Ah good, I having flashbacks to yon bike rack you knocked up
If you don’t mind me saying, I would have added gusset plates to each corner, same for middle bar, one only at both ends on the diagonals, just to beef it up.
Yes i now get my rods from boc Belfast old shipyard complex, 1.5 to 2.5 size for my 140amp sip welder iv had from i was 17.I am not familiar with the name Trev, Bohler or BOC were my preference. I do recall from years ago our supplier at the time punted some obscure brand name, not the brands mentioned above. They were crap, we were teaching laddies how to weld properly and the arc bead would not go where I wanted it to go, best description is "Arc Blow".
Boxes were returned and what we originally ordered delivered, then we kicked the supplier into touch.
I have exact same buzz box Trev, bought it new from our weld rep for £40, this would be late 80's and still going strong, last time out. You can burn 3.2 rods, up to it max setting, then the circuit breaker kicks in to protect the buzz box.Yes i now get my rods from boc Belfast old shipyard complex, 1.5 to 2.5 size for my 140amp sip welder iv had from i was 17.
Getting the hang of this welding malarky.
I couldn’t believe the small microwave in mine weighed 27 kilos when I took it outAccording to the Hymer listing. My tow bar weighs 60 kegs so I will need to drop that off along with nearly every extra on it to put it down to 3500 with any payload, at the moment without water or full tank of fuel it is at 3300 so need s more off it. I made a list of all the weights of the extras and it rally added up.
27Kg?? did you remember to take out all the cash you carry out of it first???I couldn’t believe the small microwave in mine weighed 27 kilos when I took it out
Sorry, just checked my notes where I added all the items/weights, it weighs 24 kilos. It’s not one of these new dangled digital ones though, it’s a 2008 Tesco 800W jobby. Works fine on a modified sine wave inverter as well lol27Kg?? did you remember to take out all the cash you carry out of it first???
Did you actually weigh it? a 100Ah LEAD battery weighs less and is not much smaller in sizeSorry, just checked my notes where I added all the items/weights, it weighs 24 kilos.
