What did you do to your van today?

Today we drove the motorhome straight off the new drive, shut the new gates and drove away.

Previously this would have involved moving my car and Phill's van off the mud & gravel drive, getting out the socket set and taking down a set of gates and a length of fence, stowing gates and fence up the garden, moving the mh1000016067.jpg off in multiple manoeuvres, parking that by the church whilst we park the car and van back on the drive, then getting back in the mh and driving away.

Ive looked at it for a while trying to figure out how he got it in there! But its got a new exhaust so its obviously a do-er-upper

I'm embarrassed to admit on Thursday was the first I washed the van since coming back from france
Wheels n tyres polished up ,drained water etc
Starting in the next week to do 8nside which ain't bad and the week after fitting the air suspenders
I had to do it as I'm peed off with folks asking if there was something wrong with it as it never looks like this JEEZ GIMME PEACE

Well I have never washed my car since new in 2019 and nor has anybody else either..

If the rain does not wash anything off that’s the way it goes.
Cleaned the inside a couple of times though…

Cars can be cleaned inside? When did that start? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I washed the van just before we went to France in early September. So today, I looked at it through the window. I didn't find it that hard, but not something I'd tackle every day because I have to crane my neck. (y):p

After spending 2 days last week recharging the Leisure Battery, I never got round to taking the M/Home out for a 'recharge run'. Did so this morning, for a brisk 23 mile run to ensure that the engine was thoroughly warmed up, as well as the batteries recharged

The engine always springs into life after 10-11 miles, but, since reading External Temperature Sensor Thread, I now understand why. The Dashboard Temperature Gauge, invariably reads 'Normal'/90 degrees after 4-5 miles, depending upon the time of year, but sluggish doesn't begin to describe the [lack of] pulling power; but, after 10-11 miles the engine wakes up and really begins to work Up until that point, overtaking makes me think that tucking the M/Home under my arm and making a run for it would be a safer option, and I'm no Linford Christie, by any measure ... :ROFLMAO:

Today I fitted new water pump and tested hot water and heating for trip upto Inverness this weekend, also discovered shower mixer tap had been bodged with superglue - another thing to add to the never ending list of repairs to make this motorhome a home. Wrapped it with a cloth to stop the water spraying everywhere while in use untill new tap arrives.

You can see the difference at the bottom of this shot where the lighter coloured glued paper is image.jpg
