What did you do to your van today?

Accepted the quote for a 400w Solar Panel upgrade, to be installed concurrently/consecutively with the Air Suspension; ironically, the bill will bring us back down to earth with a bump, compressor or no ... :ROFLMAO:. Installation date will be late September, so any Pension payment looms beforehand ...

having seen several people using the 12 volt freezers decided to get a small 15 ltr one very surprised how quickly it froze a bottle of water, spent all morning sorting out a power supply having had to change potential location it’s only 600x320x260 but just wrong combination to swing by the seats etc, very pleased with power consumption reading the draw from my fogstar app initially it was using 3A per hour now it’s down to temp averaging 1A IMG_2281.png

My remis side fly screen fell in a heap at the bottom of the window after much web searching could not.find.the part , so got my bodjit and scarper kit out , now refitted and working .

What did you you do to repair the Remis, Baz? Any before and after pictures to help anyone else with the same/similar problems?

It was a tiny plastic fixing that held the roller flyscreen in place about the size of a fingernail that had broken in two , I made a metal one, it needed to be strong if it flexed it would not work .only time will tell if it works , perhaps a 3d printer could replicate one

We have the 35ltr one Ken and well pleased with it.

Had to wash motorhome roof, today. Only washed it a couple of weeks ago, but after staying on a THS, last week, the van got covered in thick dust, from a combine harvester, working in an adjacent field. The effects of the early morning dew and the dust, made it stick to everything, including the solar panels.
The steward had been warned, by the farm, and passed this on to the campers, so that they could close their windows. I'll wash the rest of the van, later this week. It's hard work, being a motorhomer.

Lowered our dining table by 35mm, filled the fresh water tank, power washed the van and we are ready to drive off for the next 2 weeks on holiday here in Portugal. Too bad the wild fires have changed our initial plans to drive up north from Setúbal so, we are going to enjoy a few days on the beach a little south and see if we can still drive to visit some old relatives in the Arganil region

Apologies to everyone who was enjoying the hot weather. I discovered that the cab aircon had stopped working. There was a hole in the condenser.
The aircon man reckons that because they are so thin nowadays that they are only good for three or four years. That one was 13 years old so it did well.
Anyway, the new condenser cost £34 but with postage, VAT and dealer markup it came to £48.
Fitting and regas was extra. Haven't had the bill yet, but it'll be a lot more than £48.
Now the aircon is good again, the weather isn't. Sorry, folks.

I'm not clear about what the difference between the 15t and the 16t versions are. Did you manage to work it out?

I hate washing the van,it takes forever and gets dirty really quickly.
We always think people with minging vans are mochs so we always keep it presesentable which includes regular washing of the blxxdy thing unfortunately. 🤣🤣
