No I don't do plastic cutlery but yes I do paper plates and plastic vodka glasses I once tried plastic pans but apparently they are for microwaves only.

The view southwest towards Peñiscola with it's castle on the promontory was stunning.



On the other hand it wasn't so much fun on the return leg against the wind!

This really is a lovely stretch of coast, teejay. OK, it's winter so there aren't many tourists around but it's 'lived in' by Spanish people. For example, there are iromongers and other everyday shops and few, if any, tourist traps. Few hotels, not too many restaurants and pretty much nothing owned by non Spaniards. The antithesis of places like Benidorm. At the market today it was all about everyday needs like 'winter' clothing, hardware, food.............

As you can see, I'm quite taken with the place. Oh, and there's a brand new, totally free (with water and dump) aire just south of Benicarló town centre just metres from the sandy beach. Progressive or what?

That is excellent Colin. Just the sort of places we like to go and stay a good while. Once you search them out, dive in and live with and like the locals for as long as you like-fantastic!

I'd be in the ironmongers(4candles!) Absolutely love doing the same. France has the same-well everywhere does! Enjoy it for as long as you can! and viva espana!
