That sounds like a plan, Chris. Don’t you just love those diy/cowboy installers who spare no thought as to how maintenance work might have to be done in the future ........
Thought you were busy with your own refurb......so much for retirementSpent the last few days at our daughters, supposedly to just replace the bath with a shower. If the chap who stuck the flooring to the I beams had bothered to check the tap joints under the bath we wouldn't have spent a whole day removing all the rotten floor panels
.
Anyway, new floor laid, tray in place and all wastes fitted - only got to build a full height cupboard at the end of the shower tray and they can have the fun of tiling it.
Good tide tomorrow, so a few hours bass hunting first![]()
making good progress eh.....hows your mam doing chris.......is she settled in nicely....it will be a big change for her.....Good couple of days on t'bungalow. Kitchen base units, worktops, sink, hob and extractor hood sorted. Bath is fitted and plumbed in: waiting for electrician before fitting wall units in kitchen.
Visiting friends in Bristol tomorrow![]()

They don't come out till nearly lunchtime then moan when can't find anywhere to park.☺Just been out to get some laminate flooring, not much traffic about yet.
Head of catering is now doing ham and egg on toast![]()
well done you and yours......Bungalow work is coming along at a steady rate. Head of domestics has transferred all her gear from the old kitchen to the new one,. Now I can't find anything and still wander into the old one to make a brew
Bathroom and the shower room (couldn't spell en suite) are up to tiling stage, with the electrician coming tomorrow for final fixing.
At the weekend we hope to remove the old loo and connect the final section of soil pipe - really looking forward to that
Best crack on, head of grouting is waiting.
