That sounds like a plan, Chris. Don’t you just love those diy/cowboy installers who spare no thought as to how maintenance work might have to be done in the future ........

Twas only built 10 yrs ago  . All plastic pipework too, just stuffed in anywhere grrrrrr................

Spent the last few days at our daughters, supposedly to just replace the bath with a shower . If the chap who stuck the flooring to the I beams had bothered to check the tap joints under the bath we wouldn't have spent a whole day removing all the rotten floor panels .
Anyway, new floor laid, tray in place and all wastes fitted - only got to build a full height cupboard at the end of the shower tray and they can have the fun of tiling it.
Good tide tomorrow, so a few hours bass hunting first :)
Thought you were busy with your own refurb......so much for retirement :giggle:
Enjoy your playtime with the fishies???

Back in land of retirement (ish) again. Grandson delivered back to Kent...had a lovely week with him, but he never stops talking, unless I lend him my tablet for an hour! He broke his phone just before coming to us, so was internetless till I took pity on him for short periods. Got to go back again next week as Dave has finally got scan and consultant appointments in London so leaving dog with mum while we travel in by train. Two appointments, different hospitals, one morning, one afternoon! Hopefully we will get good news, but Dave not sure as a bit more symptomatic again. ??

I know what you mean. Had grandchildren since friday in the mo home, a real change to the normal routine plus boundless energy and also unable to shut up. Loved having them, but back home this aft.
Hope the results for Dave are ok, will keep my fingers crossed.

Good couple of days on t'bungalow. Kitchen base units, worktops, sink, hob and extractor hood sorted. Bath is fitted and plumbed in: waiting for electrician before fitting wall units in kitchen .
Visiting friends in Bristol tomorrow :)

Bungalow work is coming along at a steady rate. Head of domestics has transferred all her gear from the old kitchen to the new one,. Now I can't find anything and still wander into the old one to make a brew

Bathroom and the shower room (couldn't spell en suite) are up to tiling stage, with the electrician coming tomorrow for final fixing.

At the weekend we hope to remove the old loo and connect the final section of soil pipe - really looking forward to that :(

Best crack on, head of grouting is waiting.

"We'll go and get you some new shoes" said head of outfitting - 'OW MUCH, could buy a new rod and reel for that. (last ones I bought were five pound three and six). Spose I did well to get out of the shop before we got to the lady's section, phew.
