France/ Spain trip with possibly Portugal.

Well Ken and Joy have gone on their travels and we have stopped a couple of days more at Punta, so it would be rude not to go to the bar 🍺🍺

Now for a bit if peace, chill out and take in the view and decide where next.
We're at Valladolid in the aire at €5 a night, just had a walk around the city, it's sunny but the wind is cold, now to plan tomorrow, it's a hard life.

And the cheapest diesel for miles at Cepsa.

now back in portugal one change we’ve noted is the price of diesel there is no longer a huge (10-15%) price difference in fact portugal is cheaper on high street prices than spain i’ve never known that before , had a bit of rain earlier now cleared and sunny & warm we are at manta rota but the car park not the aire just had lunch going to run the dogs then china shop & loule

We have had on and off rain since dinner time but starting to brighten up now, going back to the campsite tomorrow, sort the van out with water and waste then the secret location on Friday

jeff you can see where most motorhomes park in the middle of the picture but the better spot is where the red dot is there is a concrete base & you can leave an area to sit out on the bank about 30 ft above the river priceless views though a bit of wind forecast over the weekend

Copper wire was discovered in Yorkshire, two Yorkshire men arguing over a penny 🤣😅😂
Don't exaggerate, Lee. It were a farthing, because neither had a spanner that would fit the threepenny bit ...

One winter, which saw the worst snowfall for decades, with drifts 30 feet deep, the locals were having a quiet drink in the Woolpack, when someone mentioned that they hadn't seen Seth, who lived in a remote cottage 2 miles up the valley, for weeks. So they organised a Search Party, including the Red Cross and set off with sledges, a stretcher, location poles and listening equipment to rescue poor old Seth, fearing the worst.

There was no sign of the house, so the Red Cross Rescue Officials began to probe the drifts where the locals thought Seth's cottage stood. Eventually, after 24 hours of digging, they uncovered the chimney, poked the rods down the aperture, and used a Megaphone to try to speak to Seth.

'Seth, it's the Red Cross,' they shouted.

And Seth replied, 'Bugger off! I gave last year ...' :ROFLMAO:

Steve

There goes the secret location Ken warned me not to advertise. Oh well! Do as he says, not what he does.😬
I reckon you’ll all be long gone before I get there. Say hello to Liv and Hagen for me.
What day are you arriving Derek, we could leave you a beer payed on in the bar, but then when they ask who you are and what you look like, I don't think they will understand, grumpy old git🤔🤔

We are heading down to the Costa Del sol, decided to stay at a place called Guadix that has over 2,000 cave houses it's about 25kms before Granada.

There is a large carpark by the town and services for emptying the grey and black waste and topping back up with water, you can't use the carpark on Saturday which is the Market day. We visited a bodega bar where you received various free tapas whilst drinking.
The following day we had a walk round the old town and visited a cave house that is now a museum, it was bought in the 1930s by a farmer for his family for 300 pesetas back then. Today they sell for 50 to 60,000 euros that need modernising, a lot of youngsters from the town are buying them as they are more affordable than a 1 bedroom apartment in the town, fully modernised they bring €80,000.
They stay at between 18 and 22° winter and summer, no Aircon or heating needed.
