What did you do to your van today?

And actually some would say I am too low on the 50mm2 cable!
Take this excert from the Victron Manual for their Inverters - and remember the 12/3000 Inverter is a 2400W output, so actually lower than yours ....

If you follow their recommendation, you would use 90mm2 cable from battery to inverter!
As your inverter and battery are so close, I think you are safe with the 50mm2, but that 25mm2? A wise thing to change. If you were to run the inverter at a high load (which you may be much more tempted to do now you have so much more battery capability), that 25mm2 cable would literally be too hot to handle after a couple of minutes.
These any goodScreenshot_20251113_181136_Chrome.jpg

Sparky look at our cables for inverter, there 25 mm size checked ,
Our max appliance draw is 80 Amps.
Cables have never got warm as I checked regularly when used for long periods .

As for 2500w inverter it works on pull not push ,so only draws what it needs.
And better to be bigger than required so not working flat out all the time..
But as I have ordered and paid for new cables I fit them .

Today's mod .got ride of the over sized dining table ,replaced with round top, loads more room.View attachment 77155
A very good move there (y)
Those enormous oversized tables that are fitted in Motorhomes have got to be one of the worst "features" ever. I didn't have one 'fitted' but the free-standing tables Autotrail supply are just as large and daft. I went for a very nifty side-mounted fully adjustable and removable Lagun kit. Quite pricey but worth it :)

Mine was same, it was like a table you would drag out at Christmas for when all your relatives came to visit and it weighed a ton.
I bought a plastic fold up one and cut it /modified it to fit and clip in stowage cupboard and you would honestly think its the proper one for a 2 berth motorhome.

We like playing German family board games (or card games) and for us the large tables are essential.

We even use them for eating at. :ROFLMAO:

I leave my Autotrail Table at home and in the dedicated cupboard for it I now keep an outdoor cooking setup (the "Kamper Major Field Kitchen") which stows away perfectly in the same place.

The actual table that Autotrail provides is actually excellent quality. It is just so large - as Alylay rightly describes - it takes up all the floor space. On the plus side, at least it is free-standing so if you don't want to use it, you just leave it stowed (or at home, like I do!) and not a ginormous table screwed to the floor and in the way the majority of the time.

Out of curiosity, what German family board games is it you play?

We always take out the std tables and get one of these, large enough for two plate, to play card or dominoes, Liz can lift it with one hand and it lives in the wardrobe, we buy one for each van and leave the old one in as well as the std one.

Our previous AutoTrail had the folding table you describe, and although solid it restricted leg room. Our current AutoTrail uses a single central pedestal that quickly slips into it's floor slot and provides better leg room.

Typical German games we play are Hexen Rennen, Alhambra, Skip-Bo, Carcassonne, Heckmeck, Skyjo, and others, but we are just as happy with Scrabble.

One of my family members is a director of that company possible get 10% off if anyone is interested let me know

I was thinking it was gonna be this one
One of my Favourite games as a youngster was "Escape From Colditz". I was given it again for Christmas a few years ago but as billy no-mates when it comes to Board Games, no one to play it with

Only one of those I've heard of (apart from Scrabble!) is Carcassonne. Didn't realise that was a game developed in Germany? I kind of assumed it was French given named after a famous French Town.
As children we played Pinochle, but I doubt if I would have a clue what the rules are now :)

I do play Carcassonne on-line on the Board Game Arena website though. Quite a good implemention but I have doubts about the randomness of the pieces (I find the Backgammon implementation on there quite suspect as much too often a player can get repeatedly perfect dice combinations for the stage of play. I've had it happen against me and for me, but don't like it either way).

Thanks for that, I didn't know that BoardGameGeek was still going.

We used to play Colditz with our boys when they were little, but it was not something my wife would play these days.

It's a German Game, designed by Klaus-Jurgen Wrede. (y)

Maybe if we happen to be at a motorhomer meet at the same time some time, we should have a game :)

If there are other Board Gamers on the site who don't get the opportunity, maybe could be a chance to enjoy them during a meet? Got quite a few other that I used to enjoy but just don't get the chance to play them.
