Have you tried the windup cycle rack from fiamma you can lower it to the ground load the scooter/wheel chair onto it then wind it up this is what I use hope this helps
The battery might be sufficient to haul the scooter up the ramps [forgot to say 'with a lightweight winch'!]and could then be topped up by solar/alternator ready for the next hauling aboardI tried that as I had some yellow/black two inch wide stuff., but unless you got all four wheels on the ramps it spun the wheels and that would remove the tread, I've done with ramps and nowhere to carry them now anyway.
Not sure what you mean about the battery???
The main problem I'm having is finding a small enough 12v winch/hoist as I will need to lift it down to travel or it'll swing about so it needs to be light, I also need one I can hang from the bar and it needs to be cheap too.
Which is almost what I said in post #1 Trev, except a winch/hoist and not a pulley/motor.A bar left to right up on ceiling inside with a small sliding pully powered by an electric motor at the far side of the van will work, now it looks after all these years i could be in for a patent worth a fortune, psst dont tell anyone.![]()

You been at the falling down water again?
I still think I have it about right, just trying to find fault with it really, I just can't find a suitable hoist so far.Try a motorhome dealer that dose disability van work, for advice , I personally can't see an answer for your problem
I bet i could make something, very seldom ever beaten, you have to here as fook all out there. Not at all, if I was I wouldn't be trying to make something I know isn't out there, and if it was they would be asking far too much, we'll see how it goes.
The problem with making for someone else is regulations and litigation if they get hurt and why stuff is so expensive nowadays.I bet i could make something, very seldom ever beaten, you have to here as fook all out there.
What’s wrong with it?This is a right pile of crap I think, best part of £1k
