Prostate Cancer

But there again it works with going away for longer periods.just had jab ,off to Australia on 19th for 6/8 weeks.so it works
Ah, but then yes, I took my jab with me, and Liz did it in France in the van—no problem at all, and it hurt less, too. I've now had three jabs with little to no pain apart from if I lean on the lump. There is a proper way to have them do it, and I've taught two new nurses how it should be done.

not having a good time are you :( :(

Got my jab 29th for flu/covid, CT and tattoo on the 17th, and Hormone on the 18th, I have to use the van as Liz is away with the car so that'll be fun.

This info bears no resemblance to the one in the box which is crap. We had to take ours with us to France in April for the May jab as we were not going to be home, we looked at the box version and were dumbfounded by it as we are not trained so need it to be very clear to avoid problems so liz went online and found this version which is still unclear if you don't have the box open in front of you.

She managed the jab fine but I still had a fair bit of pain for a few days but I was used to that.

The next jab we had back home was done differently, and I've had it done this way three times now and the method leaves me with no pain other than if I press the jab site.

Get the nurse to pinch the skin as normal but to inject very slowly at 45° releasing the pinching and then pinch and release continuously it should take about two minutes to empty the syringe.

Daft if the information in the box is unclear....the method you described is what I was taught for deep subcutaneous injection. Gives the fluid a bit of time to disperse if given really slowly. Some are in a hurry ( or poor practitioners) and just empty the syringe very fast which is painful for the patient.
Many nurses would not give the Zoladex injection as, again, it has to be done properly to deposit the depot under the skin and it is often painful due to size of needle. I used to apply local anaesthetic cream first if the patient was very sensitive (or scared)

I'm in for the CT scan and tattoo now, it's a load of messing about to get ready so that can target it, and 2 hours each time, lots of pooing, and drinking water.

What a day that was, I've never been messed about so much before, I got there around 7 am and left after 12 O Clock, I hope the regular visits are a bit shorter.

It seems if it works I can come of the hormones.

Currently laid up in Blackburn Royal after having prostectomy carried out yesterday, catheter by side of the bed not filling up much but drain bag is filling up fast with what could be urine mixed with blood, given antibiotics and told no breakfast for me as they think I may have sprung a leak and I may be back in theatre sometime today !!! Just what I need

I hope it's nothing untoward and you can be easily mended mate.
