Weather Report..................

It's about 10 degC, calm and drizzling on Par Sands right now, though the sun is doing it's best to peep through the cloud layer.
So I'll make some lovely Ethiopian Rare Blossom coffee:

'A Dazzling Riot Of Honeysuckle, Mango, Blossom, Whiskey And Spice'.

That should hit the spot.

It took the sun a while to show itself today but it managed in the end, and this morning Malcolm said it was ice on the car and it seems as if it’s going to be frosty tonight but not as hard near Durham

well didnt thnk the sun would make it....however..its been a ovely afernoon........fire oFF......hot water bottle chucked to one side...........had the oportunity for a ride out,,,,,,went to ripon...weather was beautiful

Surprisingly warm evening, against all the forecasts. No heating on , at all.

Good job, too !
We have to pick our way uphill to where the van is parked in Bedroom Mode... En suite !

The bedroom walls are rendered and awaiting painting. The lads mopped the floor before leaving.. Imagine ?
The blokes are down from the roof.. We think .. !
The Pedriero..( Stone mason ) , has worked miracles, repairing the terrace tiling and walls ...
Looks like they have just enough work until lunchtime , when they will collect their wages ..

Friday is, " Poets Day " , here too. ... P155 Off Early, Tomorrow's Saturday.
Good night all,.
We're on early doors tomorrow.

It was a clear night earlier on but now it’s clouded over and it feels as though it’s starting to rain (hopefully) rain and nothing else!

Dawned a beautiful morning. Scents of Lavender and Cystus, the Portugal smell.
The builders arrived dead on 8.. Formal handshakes, all round. .
By 11. 50 , they started clearing up, slowly, thoroughly.

At Noon, the boss arrived and they all skedaddled off for lunch, after we'd breached the case of beer.
Returned at 1, loaded the truck, Cheerfully.
" The painters should arrive, early next week", says the boss "... " Should we talk money".... " Mais Loguo ". " Later ".
They've left us just a week's supply of water. There's 10mm of rain forecast for next Friday. Will we make it?
Damn good excuse not to hose down the dusty terraces.

Can't believe it.
January and we're sitting out on the, dusty, terrace, Portuguese version of Radio 3 playing filthy, foreign Spanish Guitar music.
A lone, optimistic cricket is chirping away, off key.
A curry and the odd vinho tinto have been consigned to history.
Our cozy, comfortable van/ bedroom is hooked up and awaiting us..
We can have a lie in, tomorrow.
Dare we put our winter clothes away?
