It's not the battery Del it's the glow plugs sorry to say.Be careful when replacing it, if you have too. My back still gives me little reminders.

The time to worry, Jeff, is when the Van's glow plugs are brighter than those between one's earholes; and I'm approaching that point at speed! My former boss used to describe colleagues as being 'as bright as a glow worm's armpit', and I used to laugh. I'm not laughing now!Steve it's my glow plugs mate the battery was lashing it over no bother .

step ladder inside and pop up from the roof vent?Turned Brunhilde around so that I could reach the base of the roof slope where water gathers, and cleaned the muck and detritus off. Balancing a 5 litre container on top of the stepladder was a bit hairy; managed to wash my jeans and shoes at the same time ...
