What did you do to your van today?

Well Trev., I too have a quite large and capable charger fitted, however I thought that whereas the charger can keep all 3 batteries topped up, it wouldn't be able to deep cycle recharge all 3 together which is why I am doing the job individually................... Please correct me if I am wrong.

I would say that is a good process :) Allows you to also evaluate each battery, which is something that cannot be done when connected together.

Thank gaud for that, I have finally done something the right way if the Professor of all things electrical gives me the thumbs up (y)

Many thanks David
Haven't done it for around 18 months, but with multiple batteries I used to disconnect every 6 months and do a discharge test and recharge to check all are ok.
Even when the batteries have been all connected together from day 1, it is still possible for one to develop a problem or not work as well (had a chap with a Hobby end of last year having weird charging problems and turned out one battery out the three was dragging the other 2 down).

Weeded out the moss from the panel housing the High Brake Light, I could feel a silicone seal as the brake light becomes pat of the horizontal body moulding, but there are places towards the outer extremeties where there appears to be no silicone and the moss can be dug out, replete with a healthy clod of dirt attached! Does anyone know whether there is supposed to a void on the Burstner panel, or am I safe to run a bead of non setting mastic to prevent the moss garden from taking hold? The Burstner Brake Light looks well sealed, but the fullwidth Panel has very little sealant, which may explain why so much moss takes root! Or, is the gap towards the edges intentional to allow roof water to drain vertically down the rear body panel, rather than spraying passing traffic with a free screenwash?

That can happen with mine if I connect all 3 batts at once, so I let it bring up the hab ones first and the flick a switch to connect to starter batt, not required now as solar is doing its job.
You could get a 20sh auto charger on ebay, i have one and it is very good.12v 20a charger.png
