Who's Awake

Morning,

Final phase [fingers crossed] of emptying the junk from the Shed and Summerhouse so that the latter can be removed tomorrow [confirmation awaited], then back to digging out 20+ years of sunk chukkies to help with preparing a roughly level site ready for the new 14x8 base. At the moment it resembles a Links Course with soil build up over the years so plenty of scope to improve the starting point!

Certainly am, Gordon! Short sessions, lots of leaning on shovel, and a leisurely work pace. It will have taken about a week when we have finished, so not the quickest piece of work we've done between us!

Hope you and Fiona are enjoying your break. It was 12 months ago Sunday night that we met up with Compost at Newhaven and took the overnight sailing ...

Morning, Gordon,

On the Loire of our trip in August last year, we used the free Aires at Sully sur Loire [parkland wander into the old town through part of the Chateau grounds and over a rickety bridge!]; Meung-sur-Loire [100m from Chateau and limited free EHU with long EHU Lead/Splitter], La Ferté Bernard, Sarthe; and Beaumont le Roger, which has a new 10 pitch free aire with free EHU, and is only 400m or so from the Old Town [easy bike rides round the surrounding villages]. Beaumont le Roger then leaves you with a gentle 83 miles, via Auchan for fuel and travel food for the journey, run up to Dieppe for the Ferry

All the Aires are on Search for Sites
