Morning
They've taken back control, so they can jolly well forecast what they like, Graham. And, just like back home, the forecast doesn't mean that it will happen ...Morning
Rain forecast which isn't really supposed to happen in foreign-country-holiday-land!!
'There's rain in Spain. And it's peeing down again ...' as version 1 of the lyrics saidMorning
Rain forecast again for today.
I thought Ditto was a disinfectant, Graham. You haven't caught something nasty, have you? Rampant oxidisation from all that rain in Spain ...Ditto!
Morning
Hope you put insulation up before the ceiling, you dont want to be heating the flat above for free.I thought Ditto was a disinfectant, Graham. You haven't caught something nasty, have you? Rampant oxidisation from all that rain in Spain ...
We will have contractors back on site in about 1 hour or so, after we had to ask for a break of 1 day to get the start of a new outbreak of dry rot treated [7 weeks+ of sodden overlapping joists left to try to dry out in an enclosed ceiling void whilst Aviva faffed about getting contractors on site ...]. The entire ceiling void was resprayed with Dry Rot Chemical Protection yesterday, to kill any new growth and protect the joists that were inaccessible when the original treatment was applied].
By tonight, we should have a new Dining Room Ceiling, protected from the wind whistling through the gaping hole in the Upstairs Flat ceiling and floorboard gaps ...

Insulation going in as I type, Trev, About 40% of the ceiling had insulation sitting on slats that had been nailed to the joist sides 1/2 way down, so not affected by the leak, and were above the damaged ceiling, so remained in situ. New insulation will sit above the totally replaced ceiling plasterboard. so again, should be free from a soaking if there is another leak.Hope you put insulation up before the ceiling, you dont want to be heating the flat above for free.
